Built Clean - Replace, don't flush! A clean, properly flowing transmission cooling system is the most important step to a long lasting transmission. Learn more about avoiding the #1 root cause for transmission installation failure.
85% of transmissions are electronically controlled. Every one of them require relearn to to achieve proper shift adapts. Learn more about using the RAP kit.
In this class, we'll be covering Electrical Diagnosis. Today's vehicles utilize the T.C.M. or the P.C.M. to make complicated calculations and apply certain solenoid to activate a particular clutch or band. Most transmissions today don't even utilize valves in the valve body. They use a pulse width modulated solenoid to act directly on the component that it’s applying. This is why having good source voltage and proper connections to the source voltage are very important.
In this class, we'll be covering the scan
tool diagnostic. It's important to use the right tool for the job, and when diagnosing a transmission, your typical O.B.D.2 code reader
is not going to cut it. You need a tool that's capable of reading O.E.
manufacturer specific codes, watching the data stream and activating bidirectional
controls.
